— Shopping centres & retail malls
Long aisles,
cleaned without obstacle.
In a shopping centre, cleaning never stops: aisles, concourses, food court, washrooms. A central vacuum covers long distances from a few distributed inlets, with no bulky vacuum to drag through the public. The central unit sits in a utility room: zero noise, even for daytime cleaning.
— A large venue's daily reality
Dragging a vacuum down the aisles
is over.
Mall floors, busy concourses, food court litter, washrooms: a shopping centre generates dust and debris constantly. A fleet of standard vacuums is loud, heavy to move along long aisles and blows fine-dust-laden air back into areas where the public circulates.
With a central vacuum, wall inlets distributed along the aisles let you vacuum over long distances by simply plugging in a hose. The vacuumed air is never blown back into your public areas: it is discharged where the central unit sits — a utility room, a ventilated crawl space or outside, depending on the installation. The remote motor keeps the mall silent. The hose type — retractable or traditional — is determined on site depending on use: discover our retractable hoses.

— Building or renovating your centre?
The right moment
is now.
If you are building, renovating or reorganising a shopping centre, now is the ideal time to integrate a central vacuum: ducts run through service shafts and suspended ceilings before the finishes.
AspiWall studies your plan, sizes a powerful unit (or several) to the surface and supplies the right equipment to serve the whole venue through the duct network. Discover our approach for professional buildings.
PLAN FROM THE START
Inlets all along
- Vacuum inlets distributed along the aisles and in the concourses
- Utility room for the central unit (or several units) according to the surface
- Ducts built into service shafts and suspended ceilings before finishes
- Extra inlets at the food court and washrooms

— Standard vacuum vs central vacuum
Where does
the air go?
A standard vacuum, a robot or a stick vacuum filters part of the dust but blows the air back into the room where it runs. With an AspiWall central vacuum, the dirt is sent to the central unit and the vacuumed air is expelled out of the living areas or out of the occupied zones, which limits the re-suspension of fine dust. That is what makes the difference in buildings open to the public and places sensitive to dust.
— Made by Trovac
A benchmark for
air quality.
AspiWall offers central units in Belgium made by Trovac, among other manufacturers. Trovac's central vacuum system has been distinguished by AFPRAL (the French Association for Allergy Prevention) since July 2014. An important reference for buildings where air quality, dust, dust mites and allergens are sensitive matters.

— Frequently asked questions
Your questions.
Our answers.
Are a few inlets enough for very long aisles?
Yes. With a hose of suitable length, one inlet covers a wide radius. A few inlets are therefore distributed along the aisles so every metre is reached without moving heavy equipment. AspiWall calculates the layout according to the surface.
Can a single unit serve a whole shopping centre?
Depending on the surface, one powerful unit may be enough, or several are distributed across the duct network. AspiWall sizes the unit(s) according to the square metres and the number of inlets used simultaneously.
Can cleaning be done at night without disturbance?
Yes, that is the ideal use. The central unit sits in a separate utility room: at the inlets you only hear a light suction sound. Night or off-peak cleaning is done without the racket of a fleet of canister vacuums.
Can the food court and washrooms be covered too?
Yes. Extra inlets are planned at the dirtiest areas — food court, washroom surroundings, entrance halls. For liquids, dedicated equipment is still required; on request, AspiWall also offers wet & dry systems (water and dust), with a tank to empty or automatic drainage.
Can a shopping centre that is already operating be equipped?
Yes, installation is possible in an existing centre, using the service shafts and suspended ceilings. Contact AspiWall to assess feasibility based on your building's layout.
