— Municipal offices & public buildings

The public building,
maintained effortlessly.

Reception halls, counters, long corridors and dozens of offices: a town hall is cleaned every day, outside public opening hours. A central vacuum equips the whole building with a discreet network of inlets, with a remote motor that disturbs neither staff nor visitors.

— A public service's daily reality

Dragging a vacuum floor by floor
is over.

High-traffic floors at the hall and counters, office carpets, the council chamber, dusty archives: a public building demands rigorous cleaning. A canister vacuum is loud, heavy to move between floors and blows fine-dust-laden air back out.

With a central vacuum, a single wall inlet per zone is enough: connect the hose and vacuum, floor by floor. The vacuumed air is never blown back into your offices or waiting rooms: it is discharged where the central unit sits — a utility room, a ventilated crawl space or outside, depending on the installation. The remote motor keeps the building silent. The hose type — retractable or traditional — is determined on site depending on use: discover our retractable hoses.

— Building or renovating a public building?

The right moment
is now.

If you are building, renovating or reorganising a town hall or public service, now is the ideal time to integrate a central vacuum: ducts run through partitions and service shafts before the finishes.

AspiWall studies your plan, sizes the central unit to the surface and floors and supplies the right equipment for each zone, from the reception hall to the archives. Discover our approach for professional buildings.

PLAN FROM THE START

An inlet per zone

  • A vacuum inlet at the reception hall and near the counters
  • An inlet per corridor and per group of offices, on each floor
  • Utility room for the central unit (basement, service room)
  • Ducts built into partitions and service shafts before finishes

— Standard vacuum vs central vacuum

Where does
the air go?

A standard vacuum, a robot or a stick vacuum filters part of the dust but blows the air back into the room where it runs. With an AspiWall central vacuum, the dirt is sent to the central unit and the vacuumed air is expelled out of the living areas or out of the occupied zones, which limits the re-suspension of fine dust. That is what makes the difference in buildings open to the public and places sensitive to dust.

— Made by Trovac

A benchmark for
air quality.

AspiWall offers central units in Belgium made by Trovac, among other manufacturers. Trovac's central vacuum system has been distinguished by AFPRAL (the French Association for Allergy Prevention) since July 2014. An important reference for buildings where air quality, dust, dust mites and allergens are sensitive matters.

— Frequently asked questions

Your questions.
Our answers.

Is a central vacuum suitable for a large building over several floors?

Yes. The central unit is sized to the total surface and number of floors, and the network of inlets covers the whole building. A single inlet per zone is enough: the cleaning staff connects the hose floor by floor, without carrying a vacuum. AspiWall provides a free study from plans or on site.

Can cleaning be done during public opening hours?

The central unit's motor is installed in a separate utility room: you only hear a light suction sound at the inlet, far quieter than a canister vacuum. Cleaning is usually done outside opening hours, but the system stays discreet enough to intervene occasionally even with the public present.

Is it a reasonable investment of public funds?

Yes. A central vacuum is durable equipment: the unit and duct network have a long service life, and maintenance is limited to the hoses and replacing the bag or filter. Over the long term, it is more economical and more reliable than a fleet of canister vacuums to replace regularly.

Can archives and dusty rooms also be vacuumed?

Yes, and it is even a strong point: the vacuumed air is never blown back into the room, it goes to the unit. The fine dust of archives and storerooms is therefore not put back into the air breathed by staff.

Can an existing municipal building be equipped?

Yes, installation is possible in an existing public building. Contact AspiWall to assess feasibility based on the layout of your premises and floors.
